No, No, No. Impossible. Go to any factory, a factory remember in the U.S.A to make any kind of suit and your looking at $450 minimum CMT (Cut make and trim). This is using the most basic specs. Then buy your cloth bargain basement from somewhere like Tip Top fabrics in Brooklyn. Your going to spend $200. That brings your garment up to $650 and we are talking about MTM here, oh yeah and you forgot to buy lining. So its pretty dubious its made in America at all, let alone a "bespoke" suit. Unless its a very basic MTM with no frills and he wants to make $100. Again pretty silly but it gets even more silly if you then ask to alter the suit in any way as this will eat into that $100 margin.
A "real" Bespoke suit made in China runs at $700 CMT
A "Real" Bespoke suit made by a top Savile Row bench tailor will set the company he works for back 1700 pounds on average. This is CMT not including cloth and lining.
Ask to see your pattern and see what happens.
What did his suits look like? Did you see any on forms or on clients?
