He should put it in the B&S forum just to see what kind of low ball offers he gets.

"Hey kunk, ill give u $37 for the house. Can u also do free shipping to Bangladesh?!!"

I like the idea of selling stuff and using the proceeds.. although I'm sure that by November you may only have one outfit left.

Well, I bought something happy.gif But, it was one of the two things I was considering purchasing this year. I realized I also need some v necks and new swim trunks.

I've edited the title of this thread accordingly.

Hah. Like the edit. I broke my rule of no kops in January, but it was a hard-to-find item that popped up on ebay and I sold an old amp the week before so I'm still technically up a couple hundred dollars.

Now this is a plan I can fully support. I'm still operating on a goal of just 4 items this year. Haven't bought one yet but will in the next week or two (EG Douglas shirt). One item that was on my list has been crossed off so I have three open spots yet.

It's all a downward spiral from here

I'd be happy if I could stay on track with planned purchases only for 2012. For part of 2011, I kept a spreadsheet with items, price estimates, and anticipated purchase dates (just the month). Unfortunately, it totally fell apart at some point and I didn't really get back on track.

Smaller purchases get a little trickier, like what happens if something from Uniqlo that I'd like to try out pops up on B&S, or there's a sale on something that I've had in the back of my mind for a while but I haven't put on the list or included in my budget? Should concert t-shirts count when they're at least as much a souvenir as an article of clothing? Do I set aside an additional discretionary fund if my planned purchase for that month isn't particularly large?

Most - if not all - of my larger, planned purchases can be delayed, so it's also harder to resist something at a lower priority level but with limited availability.

I will join next year. haha. All i need to complete my wardrobe is:

a decent pair of dress shoes
pair of dress pants
couple dress shirts
leather jacket
brown dress belt
some vneck sweaters
maybe an overcoat

I will try to get all that this year.

sounds like a boring wardrobe

I think 'controlled descent' is more accurate than 'downward spiral'.

Besides, I still have a positive net balance this year biggrin.gif
