The first movie totally freaked me out as a kid. I liked Aliens, but never saw any of the others. I think this one sounds pretty interesting.

Alien was brilliant, Aliens was eh...okay but don't mistake it for horror, just a big budget action sequel. Alien 3 to me seemed more true to the original and was the last Alien film I "count" as part of that franchise.

Yeah, that clip is fucking awesome. I need to go through and rewatch the whole Ridley Scott dystopian future universe now.

AvP was on tv last night and i watched it, and i had forgotten what a flaming pile of shit it was. i remember being so pumped up for it when i was in highschool.. what a letdown.

here's hoping this is more alien/aliens than the absolute trash AvP became. hell, at least predator 2 had danny glover..

i read an alternate script for it that was set in the jungle, i wish i could remember more of it but it was frickin awesome. humans had way less of a role and it was more of, you know, aliens versus predator.

not to mention the predators kicked way more ass in the alternate version; one thing that really rubbed me the wrong way about avp was that these superior killing machines and intergalactic badasses got killed in 1:1 battles with aliens that were supposed to have strength in numbers. yeah, geeking out a little, but still... team predator over here. fuckin' aliens..

..but yeah, i've blocked all memory of avp2 from my brain.

They are flatly denying that this is a true Alien/Aliens prequel, but there is a lot of speculation this might be misdirection. It wouldn't shock me if a proper xenomorph never makes an appearance, but we could be in for a big surprise.

Javyn, I think you are confusing the movies. Alien Resurrection is the last true film in the franchise (it had Sigourney Weaver and Ron Perlman).
