Not surprised at her win to be honest. She's probably the reason why the show is so memorable. It was a good awards show for the British to be sure.

Definitely, she is by far the best part of the show.

Just watched the first episode. What a blast. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif I'll be up caught up on the entire series by next week most likely.

Especially the second season. The second season is like a soap opera for PBS viewers.

I hope season two is a bit sluttier than the first. I really see no good reason why Lady Edith hasn't given anyone a handjob yet.

I mean, Lady Mary basically kills a dude by fucking him in Season 01.

After watching the season two premier, I now get the impression I'll be writing this show off for the same reason The Office and Lost both lost my attention.

Season 2 is definitely a bit soap-y.

The wife and I have been watching seasons 1 and 2 and are on episode 3 of season 3.  Episode 4 comes out tomorrow I hope.

I like the show but I am afraid that it will go on too long and lose me.  They should wrap it up after a 4th season and get out while the gettin's good.

Really looking forward to Game of Thrones season 3 though!

Elizabeth McGovern was commenting how they will give it one last go (I'm paraphrasing) for series four. Of course with a lot of the upstairs characters' contracts in limbo afterwards, I'm unsure they will have a quorum to continue unless they move filming to a new family or location. Anyway, it will have ended up with a longer run than the Upstairs Downstairs remake and the Forsyte Saga.

I'm not sure if watching an Edwardian costume drama for the sex is the most profitable use of time. You are looking at women who are still wearing corsets.

I'm pretty sure that Season 4 will be their last--I'm not sure where they really go after Season 3.
