Depends on the suit. A navy suit that is more fashion forward and less business forward is fine to pair with walnut strands.

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

I am a thin build girl with skinny hip and bums, I normally wear a size 25 in Paige denim, and thought I give the selvedge raw a try. The 24 of New Standard is too bulky in the high waist leg,...

You can do it, and many like the look a great deal. But you should be aware that you are stepping into the realm of dandyism - not a giant leap, but slipping a toe onto the line. The darker the navy, and therefore the more contrast, the less conservative the look. I think it is a good look, but I would make sure that the occasion was also appropriate for them. For example, I would certainly not wear them to an interview or important business meeting.
Good to know, thanks. The suit is double vented and has slim lapels so I'm going to go for it. I was just a bit hesitant because it's a true navy and not a lighter shade of blue.

Thanks for the advice. I would probably wear them together for more laid back weddings or when I am going to see a guest speaker. I'll make sure to do the homer simpson black and navy combo for the more important occasions.
If you earn your money through honest hard work, sweat and stress then wear Walnut Strands any day of the week.
If your job represents, receives, swindles or steals the publics money wear Walnut Strands only on weekends.
See the wisdom? See the trap?

Or use the credit to buy the Ralph Lauren calfskin version of this shoe, which is made by AE. http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4325812 AE sells seconds of the Sanderson, which it manufactures for RL. During a seconds sale in September, it was going for $265 from the Shoe Bank. Beautiful shoe and I'm having a tough time resisting it.
It's not something I generally see when walking around downtown, but I do frequently see people wearing navy slacks with light tan/walnut shoes. I tried my Strands out with a navy suit when I first got them, but just didn't feel comfortable with how flashy they looked. Instead, I've found that I love wearing my dark brown Delrays with my navy suit.
I also echo everyone else in saying go with the walnut strands. I can't believe how often I reach for my strands when wearing slacks and jeans.
