Pick my next AE shoes

I have a $325 credit to spend at AE. What shoes should I buy?

I own:

Black Park Avenue
Merlot Park Avenue
Brown plain toe rubber sole bluchers, something beginning with "Tr. . . " Not sure they still sell them.

I was thinking a light brown? Maybe with broguing? Or a slipper style?

I would suggest the Walnut Lombard (get some socks or something else with the $30 left over), the Walnut Sanford ($46 left over since these are on sale), the Walnut Strand, or the Walnut McAllister.

If the Park Avenues fit you well, all these should fit also.

I second the walnut strand. I was hesitant before purchase b/c I wasn't sure if it would be versatile, but was impressed with how it goes with almost anything (except formal suits). If not the walnut strand, I would also consider a brown macneil.

I would say the walnut Strand or call the Shoe Bank and jump on some Seven Tresana's..

Are you guys recommending the Strand because I mentioned broguing or do you really think that is the best choice? I'm not someone who is going to own 15 pairs of shoes, so this 4th pair might round out my nice shoes collection. Is there anything essential I should own? Thanks for the advice so far.

I own three pairs of AE's.. Walnut Strands, Chili Vernon and Brown Kenilworth. I plan on buying one more pair. Probably in black.

I have worn the Strands with jeans, suits and Khaki's. They are the most versatile and IMHO best looking...

I only own three pairs of shoes.  Walnut Strands, brown 5th Aves and RL suede loafers.  I'm a student in college and have no money so I'm also not someone buying 15 pairs of shoes.  As I mentioned earlier, and others have agreed, the walnut strands are the best choice because they have a nice/versitile color and minimal, but defendant broguing.  Broguing typically makes a shoe less formal (due to the background of brogues, which were mostly worn by scottish, or Irish, I can't remember, farmers who would walk through the marshes and needed some way to allow the water to get out of the shoe).  Since it has minimal broguing (not like a wing tip or long wing) they can be dressed up with more ease.

I hope this helped.

Those PAs are fairly formal shoes, and the brown blucher you have still seems a little on the formal side, even though it's a blucher.  I think a nice walnut blucher wingtip or longwing would round out your wardrobe well-- a Lombard or a MacNeil.

Walnut strands are a solid choice, but you should sell your credit at AE and get the Darltons.

Men shoes.  Instead of Walnut Strand Donald Duck shoes.

How do you guys feel about wearing the walnut strands with a navy suit? I personally like the look but I haven't been able to turn up any pictures of people doing it here on SF.
