For me at least, when I get home, I take off all my clothes and need something to just toss over quickly and easily repeatedly.

a pair of sweats and a hoodie wouldn't do the job?

You really walk around your house from the time you get home until you go to sleep in a bath robe?

A bathrobe is good when you're cold. You can put it on over your sweat/pajama pants easily. It's less intrusive than a t-shirt or a sweater. Also, easier to take off.

Yes, those require too much work when you simply don't want to do any. And I'd feel like they are dirty and will want to have them washed all the time. I don't get that feeling with a robe. You quickly slide it on your arms and you're done.

There is no article of clothing I find less comfortable than a robe. It appears to be the worst of all worlds.

I'm no help. I go about my business naked at home.
