That purple-pink colour that keeps popping up is gorgeous.

I loved it. It was nice enough to see and touch on the racks before the show, but it's always better when it comes together styled on the models. Lots of great details and Robby does his take on leopard, which is a bit more muted than most, and some had floral embroideries over it. The washed silks were also nice to the touch. Thinking I personally might invest in a lot of this collection.

First impressions
The bomber with the patterned sleeves is amazing.
I like the strap sneakers. Those drop crotch trousers look really nice and I will wear this entire fit all day:

Now comes the big question: how much of this stuff actually makes it to retailers? confused.gif
post #9895 of 10832

Blazer with the snaps is my highlight:

I'm curious about the retailer situation, too, especially given how much I saw his stuff on sale this past season. The one that surprised me the most was the metal clasp bomber...I thought that would've been a really sellable piece, but it ended up heavily discounted most everywhere, so I suppose I misjudged that one. Then again, I know better by this point than to infer retail success from anecdotal evidence.

@gdl203 were you at the show?

I think the issue with the metal clasp bomber was just the price. You compare that at ~$800 to the washed and hooded bomber at ~$500.

Is Type 1 an out-and-out skinny jean?  Like, you see a guy in Type 1 from across the room and you immediately recognize that he's wearing skinny jeans?  It's hard to tell based on the stockists' pictures -- sometimes the models are barely fitting in the Type 1s, other times it just looks like a very slim jean.

I'm looking for an aggressive taper, and I have chicken legs, so I could probably fit a skinnier cut, but I'm not really wanting to constantly be presenting my thigh silhouette.  :) Maybe Type 2 would be better?  On the other hand, if the difference between Type 1 and 2 is mainly below the knees and the top blocks are fairly similar, Type 1 seems like the best call.

They're like Acne Ace jeans but the leg opening is smaller.

Seeing videos of the show is actually pretty depressing. Everybody just holds their phone up for a few seconds and then buries their head in it, ignoring what's actually happening.
If you're a buyer then you get to be up close with everything later when you are making your buy, take photos then, if you're a spectator then you have no reason to take photos or videos, just watch the fucking show. I mean I understand "documenting" it or whatever and obviously as somebody who can't be there in thankful for the the video but in the background of every photo/video literally NOBODY is just watching and taking it all in.
