Romantic Europe meets NYC: the ROBERT GELLER thread - Page 603

Definitely like the August pants from Mevyn more than those...

It's too bad that there isn't a 50 left in the Robert suit pants from MyHabit, the way it's worn here definitely made me want to try it out, especially with side zips.

More bad news...they don't have much web presence so this will only affect LA locals, but American Rag will not be carrying Geller the season, no word about the future. And Fred Segal Santa Monica/Pacific Man will be going out of business as of March 31st. Kinda sucks, as the mentioned boutiques usually have a good buy and order a pretty full run of sizes.

Yea it sucks. I noticed that the pacific man's website was down a couple weeks ago. I was hoping it wasn't this.

Looks like an extra drop-crotch sample version of AW11 Stephan pants

Decided to get the hooded bomber from Notre store. Will have to try not to jump if the bomber comes back in stock at NMWA now...

Fred Segal was always over priced with terrible customer service and an awful return policy.

It's weird that Gentry only carried it for 1 season too. It seems like they must have changed buyers/management or something.

Wore the Augusts today for real, they've already loosened up after half a day. It's definitely a matter of getting used to the fit, I've got high rise pants from Geller and Lemaire but nothing that's quite as high as this in such a thick, heavy fabric. The Meyvn guy described them as "kind of like a zoot suit pair of pants" which is pretty accurate for the fit.
I like them though.

How is the fit on the washed dress pants? I'm a true 46

Also can't see how it is "washed", seems like a regular black if I trust the pics from m&s and workingtitle

Pretty sure it's the garment dyed process = washed. I think @kubrick555 has tried them?

How's the quality of Geller black jeans? Do they stretch a bunch in the waist over time, and how quickly do they fade?

Quality is good. They stretch in the waist like all other jeans with 2% spandex, not as much as 100% cotton jeans. I've only washed them 3 or 4 times and they haven't faded much

They're just... jeans. Same as Uni-qlo or whatever. Pay extra if you like the fit or the wash

Oh the slippery slope of reductionism

Yeah this. The type 1's work for me as they have a little more room in the waist than most other jeans with a leg this skinny.

Anyone seen the 5 year fades in type 1 this season?
