I've tried a few RG items and like it FWIW...but I never end up keeping it =\

Love hate thing going on.
I think it's one of those designers that you can wear the clothes season to season i.e. Geller with more Geller with more Geller. Seems easy enough if you have the money to spend.

It's the same feeling I get from Yohji ... it's a design/label dominant within itself

If you mean Geller's collections are more or less easily integrated with one another, then I agree. But it's way easier to mix Geller pieces with other labels than to mix Yohji with other labels.

Even though I've moved away from a lot of my Geller stuff, it's very very wearable with other stuff, especially the more recent seasons, IMO

Right, which is why I need more Yohji...and in this respect would need more RG if I started picking it up.

I tried on a jacket, I liked it and was steep discount at Barney's. Also had the mesh tank but did not understand how to layer it. I also probably would not fit into the cut of Geller's bottoms aside from his lounge wear type. I find Uniqlo a good filler though just by looking at the color minus the details.

RG just seems like something I can wear but have not really tried it fully. We will see.

RG seems like it would be right up your alley, toasty. I think a lot of it would mesh with the type of stuff you're wearing these days.

Geller's basics on sale are way more reasonably priced than most similar things once they hit sale, but I kinda agree that you need a couple of them before they start working for you. I end up doing a Geller/Rick-lite type of thing during the summer, which is very different from what I mostly wear during the winter.

I do think it benefits bigger guys more so than a lot of labels, though.

as a tall / big dude, i find geller to be just right in the shoulders/chest in a lot of cuts. heard somewhere his cuts are somewhat athletic due to a soccer interest.

Older Geller tends to be super slim, now he's playing with proportions and it's getting away from that skinny look.

I don't find it fits well for people who are super tall and slim - body and sleeves get too short. I'm 6 foot and lean and the sleeves are usually a little shorter than I'd like on most button downs.

I judst got this today. Looks great, but I have no idea how I'll wear this yet. Probably with an oversized tee and some kicks and carrot jeans, but not really sure, tbh.

Sounds just right to me. Any particular carrot jeans you like? (Don't worry, won't crap up this thread with other brand talk; just a one-off)
