Romantic Europe meets NYC: the ROBERT GELLER thread - Page 234

Of all the boots, I think that I like the officer's combat boots a lot, but I never have gotten used to leather soles, or really, any pair of shoes that are not somewhat sneaker like. The chelseas are good, but I often wear more slouchy and more loose jeans, and they chelseas really call for a narrower (or super wide) hem. Of the shoes, and I know that there are just a few pairs, but I really like the monkstraps. Loafers are generally not my thing, so it's hard for me to get into them. Buf you you like the chunky laceup thing, then the oxfords are a good choice.

The Oscar hats are more malleable than the other hats, in that there is no hatband, and the shape is not sharply delineated. I'l say that they'd fit a 57 up to a 61 or so, depending on how you wear it.

Please tell me you have a 41 in those combat boots.

I have the black suede combat boots with the spats shog[1].gif. They're really nice...highly recommend those if they're in your size.

Any of the single monks in 44 or 45?

there are some great pieces left (the l/s henley, namely), but if it really is a 48, it's too small. is there any chance this (http://www.styleforummarket.com/robert-geller-blue-long-sleeved-raglan-henley-t-shirt/) would fit on a 43" chest?

i'm looking through the sold-out section and weeping over the 50s and 52s that i missed out on.

the new stuff looks rad. excited about the knitwear!

There really hasn't been a set schedule. Fok's good about keeping us informed though.

Why can't I find the store linked anywhere on the front page of SF?

I could maybe even swing a 42, but I haven't tried them on or anything so I can't say for certain. The same as standard CP officer's boots.

Curious about the sidezips sizing as well.

Also, I have the GATs and they are really well constructed, but fit about a half size small. I'm a Margiela GAT 43 and had to size up to a 44. They have a very shallow toe box. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Indigo stains are my addition.

The CPs all fit like CPs. I wear a 40 in all of them. Sneakers, zip/elastic/combat boots, monkstraps, everything.
Could have sized up for the suede/elastic boots to make room for thick socks but I am fine with how they are. A little tight but it's probably better that way so they don't slide around, and form to my foot as they break in

Some people seem to have a more complicated experience, so I won't speak for them.

Thanks for the heads up guys, now to wait and hope.

I actually don't have that same marketing. I just clicked the "store" tab and it took me to the SF market.
The store tab is permanent. In addition to the Robert Geller sample sale and presales, we will also be doing MTO batches with other brands, and sample sales and pre-orders with other brands as well.

Most of the shoes in this batch are a size 42 or 43. I don't think that we have smaller sizes, and in larger sizes, we only have the trainers, for the most part. A lot of these are runway samples, some with the name of the model and the look number on the boxes.

Clothing - we didn't get a lot in large (52+) sizes. We have some pieces, like a waxed cotton poncho, which is One Size, and we have some pants in larger sizes. I see that we still have some Andreas back pocket zip pants and I think some linen shorts, left. Both are a bargain. The shorts are priced insanely low - about 1/7 of retail. For preorders, we will obviously be able to get whatever sizes are made, but for samples. unfortunately, it's really "You get what you get and you don't get upset". (I learned that from my daughters' preschool.)

Cheers,

Fok.
