Looking forward to what comes up next.

Whats the deal with the Andreas Pants? Anyone have experience with them? How do they fit
post #3109 of 5694

noticed a few more items popped up when i clicked on the "mens" tab instead of the "brands>geller" tab.

like this one:   http://www.styleforummarket.com/robert-geller-grey-poplin-shoulder-yoke-t-shirt/

That shoulder t-shirt has been there the entire time. Site is a little wonky, sometimes items don't show up, not sure why.
Thought about buying that yesterday but I'd rather have the brown one...

While all the items are "discoverable". I think that easiest way to see things is to go toe brands, Robert Geller, and then "sort by Newest".

The mesh tanks are cool, but at least for me, I'd have to layer them over some drapey tees. We actually have a lot of long sleeve tees that might work for that. I'm surprised that no more people have picked those up, but I wear long sleeves all year round. And when I put this up:
http://www.styleforummarket.com/robert-geller-seconds-off-white-raglan-jersey-cardigan/ I was sure it would be gone in seconds. It's pretty much exactly the weight you want for a summer cardigan.

I was also surprised that this, in a much looked for size 46, is still around: http://www.styleforummarket.com/robert-geller-navy-plaid-long-sleeved-shirt/

We don't have much in the way of jeans. One pair of brown jeans in a sample size, that is about a size 48, and a pair of midnight blue denim pants in his non-stretch cotton/polyurethane blend, that are really pants, not 5-pocket jeans. They have some interesting details that hark back to the Cloak days, like the layered back pockets. Those will be released in the next set.

The Andreas pants are a midweight twill, straightleg pant. that size slightly smaller than tagged. A size 50 sizes out to a 33" in the waist, and the 52 to 35.5". I am between a 48 and 50, and the Andreas pants fit comfortably on me. Not slim, but not Yamamoto loose either.

I think that for the prices, what I would be looking at are the shirts (we will be releasing a bunch more), and the pants, many of those of which I released are quite suitable for summer - the belted field pants (http://www.styleforummarket.com/robert-geller-belted-field-pants/), the Walter pants (http://www.styleforummarket.com/robert-geller-walter-wheat-colored-pants/) and the Andreas pants are the ones I put out specifically as summer friendly, and the last, sorta year round.

I terms of short sleeve tees and tanks, we've put up pretty much much everything there was. There may be a few stragglers, but not much.

Cheers,

Fok.

That plaid shirt is really cool. Tempted by that dock shirt, but have no idea how it would fit me

I asked Robert about more outerwear - but honestly, this is a sample sale, with true samples, and they don't generally yield a lot of stuff like jeans, especially if the body is not really changing. You have a pattern, and you are probably not going to get samples made constantly, since sample making incurs are significant cost, unless you are changing the body, or experimenting with some new washes or new materials, stuff like that. Things like printed tees are a little different. They are staples, but not unchanging, if that makes any sense.

I think that this should be looked on as an opportunity to expand from the basics in a fairly safe space. The pieces are all at a small fraction of their retail, especially the more adventurous pieces, and you guys have the opportunity to just sorta take it to the next level without a huge influx of cash.

I will release just a few more things on Friday (looks like 13 SKUs), and then some stuff early next week.

Sounds like the Cadet pants to me

This is interesting
Do you know what the waist measures on the 46? I guess they're probably gone by now anyway.

And Sev, you probably don't need to be picky on sizing with dock sleeves, and I can tell you that dark plaid is really cool in person.
If the green color shows up in 44 or 46 I'll probably try to grab it

Sorry to post about something other than the sample sale but . . .

Which one is the dock shirt? I honestly can't think straight, but if you can send me the URL, I can do some basic measurements for you. Some of the stuff though, doesn't follow conventional measurements particularly well, just to warn you in advance.

Ha. They are. Holy shit. How do you know all this stuff so well? It's crazy. I know some pieces, but it's like, you know all the pieces. Unfortunately, the 46 in the Andreas is sold out. We do have a pair in 48, that will be released on Friday, but I expect that that might be too big for you if you are a true 46.

Any of those short sleeve sweatshirts with the rolled sleeve & color block?
I'm a 29 but really skinny so I always round down to 44 rather than rounding up to 46 in pants. FW11 Andreas pants fit me perfect in 44 , so I hadn't expected that 46 would work.
But like I've said all the 2013 stuff I've gotten has fit me smaller than usual so they might have been ok. Oh well!
