I'd like to see that jacket (first one) done up.

Kind of weird, not just a shearling as the shearling is bursting out of the back as well. Still stupid cool but very different. I will say that this has to be his strongest since S/S11. Nothing is going to touch F/W09 but that is ok for now.

I don't care what anyone says, I think the styling in his shows is always great. Maybe I'd ditch some of the accessories at times, but the combinations/layering are consistently good. In fact, I think that's why I sometimes feel let down when I see stuff in person. Even FW12—where I was at the show, saw the clothes up close, and really loved a lot of it—didn't look great to me on the store racks. You need all the pieces together. The layering is really essential. Some of the FW13 shorts, for example, look kinda shitty, but with leggings underneath save them.
I feel the same way in regards of the styling. The extra long button ups tied at the waist (only front). Those "so in right now" neck pieces under a shirt. The expert layering helps get a ton of pieces down the catwalk that otherwise would sit in the pdf buylist not to be produced.

The new Robert Geller site reminds me of the Studio-New Work site. Obvious reasons.

Thanks for posting the link to the detail shots, pick. I always liked Geller's runway styling for fall/winter myself. I really like a lot of the pieces. I particular like this whole look and would buy it all: http://images.thesartorialist.com/thumbnails/2013/02/20130209_Robert_Geller_0052_web.jpg

That one is from FW11 too. Same one I have

I almost said the zip one started SS12 but I forgot they made one for FW11...is yours ash denim with linen sleeves or something?

I feel like Geller has been in a bit of a transition for the past couple seasons - and now he's finally arrived to where he was going.
Things feel like they're flowing together better

Hard to tell from this pic - but are the sleeves part of a back-wrapping harness type thing?
I'm hoping it's all connected and not separate pieces - makes for a really interesting construction.

Dear Lord please let more online shops pic up Geller . . . ones that like to put things on sale . . .

Web Designer side note: THANK GOD HE FINALLY CHANGED HIS WEBSITE.
I still hate side-scrolling and I don't think it should ever be done but at least it's not Flash anymore.
(I guarantee it was Studio New Work - print designers by trade who like to ignore usability/user experience issues)
Also - bigger pictures!

Would anyone reccomend this color? not sure how it would figure in with other stuff. would you ever wear it under olive dip dye or purple dbl sleeve?
If it's color is like the 'petrol' jeans - it's a difficult color to pair.
My jeans look dark oily blue inside - but outside its very dark forest green with a hint of blue.

I end up wearing it with the mustard slash pocket Seconds tee or a darker grey tee.
Looks good with a darker off-red like burgundy, too.

And probably works perfectly with the rust/sepia wash Geller stuff from this season!
