So Toto has the vintage striped shirt in a 54 and I saw something else in a 54 (a jacket iirc) at Blue and Cream. Is this a first? Just errors on their part?

Call and ask someone who works there. Otherwise it's just a bunch of internet nerds speculating

Can anybody explain to me what the purpose of the waist-side zips are on the Daniel pants? From what I can tell there's no purpose to it, except maybe to quickly drop your pants for whatever reason, but I may be missing something.

@Noctone is right on with the side zip opening. Decided not to keep the pair I picked up.

Works great with larger hem, like Geller type 3 denims, but too large for Geller type 2 or, for example a pair of Margiela trousers. See below.

Also, on the pair I had, the YKK zips seem cheap, very difficult to close.

That is too bad

I kind of like the wider opening tbh.
If I wear a smaller hem that's not cropped I usually just roll the hem so it sits higher on the shaft, if that makes sense.
EG/ these have a 7" hem, size 44 boot. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Are the wide boot openings just on rgxcp boots or regular cp boots as well?

Would anyone who has type 1 robert geller denim be willing to comment on the fit? I would really like to purchase a pair but I'm not sure if  I shoulder get size 28 or 30. I haven't been able to find a lot of sizing information online. Thanks!
