Romantic Europe meets NYC: the ROBERT GELLER thread - Page 683

^

I tried it on, I'm a 48-50 in most shirts (non-geller) and tried on a 48 and it fit - a little blousy, slightly dropped shoulders.  Sizing seemed pretty flexible so ymmv - 50 probably would've worked too, maybe better

Hmmm thanks. So if nobody else has ordered a 52 then I might be able to make the 50 work.
How did you find the fabric? Is it silky in texture or is it only like that in appearance?

it's silky and smooth for sure, it had me thinking 'what is this???' trying to find a materials tag.  fabric was great. you might want to double check on sleeve length though since you're pretty tall?

Question for Duster pants owners! Sizing TTS? I recall @OccultaVexillum saying they were TTS, but I just wanted a second opinion. I'm a solid 48 in Geller pants and I tried on a 52 and they kinda sorta fit me in the waist. I don't know if I'm tripping (because it's 2 sizes over) or I'm getting fatter. Wondering if I should just buy the 52 or continue my search for a 48.

i'd say they run on the smaller side of geller’s sizing spectrum. i'm between a 44/46  and the 44 were too small/slim for me

Yeah I guess it depends how you want them to fit. I think if I bought the 52 they would have fit me fine, I would be able to wear them lower on the hips and they would be less cropped.
The 50's are a literal true to size, Assuming 50 = 34 waist then both my pairs measure exactly 17" across, so they aren't vanity sized at all.

fabric is silky mostly in appearance; it's actually 100% cotton, and has a crispness to it. but the first night I wore one of my photographer shirts out I had over 5 people commenting on my "silk" shirt, no joke. best of both worlds — get that louche look without the difficulty of maintenance of silk!

@keanswon so the "night shirt" and photographer shirts are the same fabric?
I'm fiending hard for something with this flower print.

Also, here's a new RG stockist: http://www.commoncs.com/brands/robert-geller/

Nothing online yet but "soon", it's in store though.

Has anybody seen the shawl neck shirt (flower print or anything else) somewhere other than Acrimony? It has anyone tried it on at Acrimony?

Thanks OccultaV. Repped.

Stopped by Maas & Stacks today, they have a few items in shop that aren't up on the website yet. Couple pairs of wool pants, the grey melange Richard jacket, and the belted bomber and coat (both in black).

Both M&S and Acrimony are still getting at least one more delivery.
