NYE Plans

What are your NYE plans?

I've always thought NYE was the head of a trilogy of Overrated Nights Out (the other two being Halloween and St. Patrick's Day). The ideal way to spend NYE is at a house party. That's not an option this year, so I'll probably end up at a low/no cost bar.

Ugh. Begged and dreamed for some house party but will be going to this bar on U st. They fortunately sold out of their bottle service so I'm "settling" with a $25 entry that includes some drinks and champagne toast. I know the DJ's playing so it should be good.

Oh yeah, of course I find out about some parties AFTER I buy my ticket. Anyway may check them out after the countdown.

Lost Society? This event is on my short list. What can you tell me about it?

going to partake in the Japanese tradition of eating soba tomorrow, and then I'm gonna head out to the Ritz for free-flow champagne and the countdown for a few hours. Then we're gonna go to a temple and do a new year's prayer and probably come home and crash, or go eat early morning sushi at the market if we can stay up that long.

Not happy with how my NYE plans turned out this year...I won't even bother mentioning here.

Dinner at a local pretty good restaurant. I hate crowds, so I'll return home to watch football.

Yeah. Not much, really. Girl organizing it supposed to be pretty well known in the area - party wise. The DJ's are pretty good. The bar itself is okay. Tickets are sold out though you can still get in (tix were to confirm entry and incl drinks). Hoping it's not a cluster fuck but I'm going somewhat early (say 9/930ish) so if it blows I can try to find something else around 1130.

I think I'm going to end up here. Does Lost Society have a dress code?

Didn't do any of what I planned, woke up really late and Mrs Impolyt didn't feel like going out. Saved some money. We have a big New Year's meal being delivered tomorrow and the champagne already came today, so I'm spending enough as is.

I've planned a little but don't feel particularly well today. Just had some delivery indian food and that will pretty much be it.

Dinner at sushi restaurant...just me and the wife. After hosting 50 plus people last year at our house we are pretty excited for the change of pace...

None of it. Either way people eat "Berliner" like crazies at NYE here in Hamburg.
