Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread) - Page 381

Hi Yohji fans,

Can I get opinions on this s'yte overalls(more pictures at the click)? http://syte.yohjiyamamoto.co.jp/pc/item/detail.cgi?brand_code=091&itemCd=091_UX-P12-033-25&itemGrcd=091_UX-P12-033&itemDir1=

I don't know enough about the brand, but aesthetically I think it looks awesome? Opinions appreciated

It looks great I think, especially when worn as regular trousers with the top half of the overall hanging down. I've never handled any Syte clothes myself so can't speak for the quality, though the pictures and general aesthetic of the label do make the clothes look very solid and relatively hard-wearing.

Not sure how hard it is to get them shipped out of Japan, potentially needs proxies right? Which is a shame because the pricepoints across the site are otherwise pretty reasonable.

Yeahh I was planning on using a proxy. Think in total this would cost around $400 (hopefully), but I really love the look and hope that the quality matches it... Why is it that no one knows or cares about s'yte? Was it a one time thing a couple years ago?

Thanks soooooo much for the tip...

I've already found some pairs on yahoo japan in my size. Do I need a proxy to order?

^^Haha, I shouldn't have came into this thread. Looked up what the qasa were and now I'm on the hunt. Just emailed a friend in Japan looking for the all black hi's. I don't even wear sneakers, damn this forum.

Do you know if a proxy is necessary to get the order from Yahoo Japan? I definitely, definitely will be getting a pair now that I've seen the price difference

unless you speak Japanese and can work something out with the seller I think in most cases you will need a proxy to buy off Yahoo Japan. I've used Sutocorp in the past and it's been good but find that FromJapan is the easiest and cheapest option.

also, this great guide by @brad-t can be very useful: http://harajuju.net/Topic-Buying-From-Japan

Yasuto Sasada meets Seibu Shibuya  /   Art meets Life

Some exclusive and official pictures ( courtesy of my very good friend Banana Foggy ) of this amazing exhibition happening right now. What can I say? Tremendous bespoke capsule collection pieces, Yohji-san is on fire in Tokyo and at the top of his game, the AW14 special order runway leather pieces pale into insignificance yen for yen compared to those hand painted hats and the DM boots. Wish we were there......:brick:

Are the pants on the right the balloon pant?
Great displays!

I went to see the exhibition on my second last day in Tokyo but the installations were scattered among many floors across 2 buildings and I didn't even know there was a mens section :(

Saw Mr. Sasada and he showed me the new canvas tote with his illustrations of the runway looks on it

That's too bad you didn't check out the Pour Homme section.....you could have tried the 1.08 million yen hat on :smarmy:

You are talking about this tote:-

Please check out Look 43 lol! I would buy a blazer with the pour homme runway looks on :)

According to my source again, the limited edition tote is available in 2 versions, denim blue and green for the holders. 25920 yen each, bargain :)

@snowmanxl Yes they look like the balloon pants,,,,, with hand prints on for a tidy premium. Btw what happens to yours and shah's Y-3 Qasa Black?
