Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread) - Page 358

I'm in NY (first time). It's pretty, I like it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for NY vintage shops that might be good for reasonably priced old Yohji/Y's for Men? Or just interesting to look at generally.

Merry Christmas!

I don't think there's any vintage shops for old yohji (at least I'm not aware of any), but for current season stuff it is atelier (closing soon), hotoveli and barneys NY. Also http://newyork.doverstreetmarket.com/ is opening tomorrow (saturday), which maybe interesting depending on your taste. Enjoy NY.

Hotoveli and Barney's have current season stuff .which is fun to try on and carefully put back on the rack. Not sure about older , maybe INA? If Atelier is still open and has any stock it'll be 75off so might worth checking out too

I was reading about Daita Kimura of the Old Curiosity Shop in London which is just stunning and a really unique retail experience.9uLlxh

Thanks. IIRC you had the same bat sweater? The pants are Y's in thick dark navy wool. Very warm for winter.

Yes I have it too. AW08 one of his best collections in recent years, and certainly one of the dearest as some Yohji experts would tell you smile.gif

I find much of his recent pieces unwearable, especially for my body type. Older pieces in monochromatic colors suit my palate much better.

I finally made it to the US to pick up the SS13 piece I won off ebay. It's a work of art.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what to wear it with and will probably put it back up for auction.

Some new SS Y-3 I thought was pretty awesome (and would wear too!)

And this past AW
