Hesitated to post this myself as I was hoping to pick it up, but it seems that I'm broke for the foreseeable future.

One of the iconic jackets from AW91 "6.1 The Man" went up on Sui Generis a while ago.

Do you guys have any recommendations for waterproof coats that pair well with yohji? I've worn arc'teryx veilance in the past but obviously it doesn't work with my first pieces of YY.

Just wondering if anyone knows if yohji makes his suspenders/braces inhouse or outsources from another manufacturer. If it's the latter I'd love some info on that smile.gif
Am looking for some yohji suspenders with clips and zapatiste has guided me to 1 pair but if there's more selection that would be great

nice op-ed about the experience of fashion in the early ’80s, focusing on Yohji in particular. the best part is the video at the link, though. it's an interview with Irene Silvagni, who worked with Yohji for quite a long time. http://www.businessoffashion.com/2013/12/op-ed-when-passion-was-everything.html

Yohji interview with V&A

david so glad that arrived , it looks outstanding. can't believe you're in size 4 pants now lol
and those boots !!

so all iterations of that jacket run small huh ? my sz4 wool gab one feels snug in the chest despite orangutan sleeve length haha but still love wearing it , as you're illustrating here it makes for very nice silhouette when paired with huge trousers

Great article, thanks for sharing. I had a big grin on my face as I read through it, the zeitgeist of those times seems so inspiring and exciting... Reading articles like this, watching old interviews with Yohji, watching old shows with cheers and applause, I feel nostalgia for a time that I did not even live... If that makes any sense.

I found this on LA GRANDE LUE's Blog, I think they are a Japanese second hand / vintage store stocking mostly or exclusively Yohji. They seem to have a very strong archive of pieces.

6 leather jackets from FW91 6.1 The Men.

Edit: Just finished watching the video for Mono No Aware - beautiful. Simply beautiful. It sent shivers throughout my whole body and made me tear up a little. Kudos to them for putting together such a beautiful video with a valuable first hand insight into the spirit of that era.
