I had a chance to take a look at some SS13 stuff at my local Barneys yesterday. They had the string blazer and pants from Look 14 which looked very cool, but the jacket was really, really long (on me :-). The other stand outs were the antique printed pants from Look 27 and the striped tees, which I didn't buy but I put on my wish list. I was hoping they'd have one of the gauzy jackets from Look 27 or 34, but nope. Will have to see if any other retailers got those. I also didn't see the "plush cloth" pants from 08/18 which I think is my favorite. Maybe I will get them at LNCC.

also, speaking of AW09.. spam in my sig shog[1].gif

Thanks for the info Parker (also I see you have sold the suspender blazer? Sigh. Should have sent you a PM earlier).

Wish I could see and/or handle some stuff in person. Might go for the really low rise cropped pants on Atelier. Really like the way they looked on the runway and they might be the pants I end up picking up apart from a gabardine pair and an antique print (whenever they hit sale).

What do you guys think about the "rubber" pocket pants on ln-cc? Their buy is pretty interesting actually as they are the only store I have seen so far with so much colour, hehe.

surver, I had wanted this jacket (or at least the grey/brown colour variation) until I tried it on.  perhaps you are already aware but the fit is very unusual for Yohji - the body is very slim (oversized shoulders, then extremely tapered under the arm).  I usually take a 2, but found this style a bit uncomforatble when I tried it on.  don't want to discourage you, but thought I'd pipe up...

Just did a quick pass over the FW13 women's collection. Wow, those colour pieces!

Will have a proper look tomorrow and post on here if no one has yet.

Looking interesting though.

Despite some interest from the locals, nobody went for the YYPH pleated blazer I had up on Ebay. I really need to sell this, so I'm re-listing with a lower starting price. Same goes for the YYPH wool trousers. As before, PM me if you want links.

I, as predicted, am more drawn to his " noir " pieces. 42 Looks..... about 7 non-blacks, I'll say it's business as usual in the palette department. However you can easily call this a SS season based on the relative lack of coats & knits. I thought I was looking at CDG re L10-12. Also he used to say no to high heels. And some high heels they were!

Overall, I like.

Why CDG? I thought those 3 looks are close to Issey but not far away from Yohji as he used that triangle aesthetic quite often.

The two FWfemme gangster suits made me laugh. Appear to emerge (then disappear) completely out of nowhere relative to the rest of the collection. Pretty sweet.

Streaming the new Bowie album as I look. Did Bowie ever wear YY? I read he did, but I think the author meant KY. Which isn't to say he doesn't, regardless.
