The AW03 Y's suit I posted earlier in wool gab, super dark navy nearly black. The cuffs are working, and the buttons to fasten the jacket/sleeveless are joined transposable pairs (imagine them like this when seen from the side: |---| ) so you can have 3 on inner or move them to outer and also move to other side of inner (accounting for reversible nature of jacket). The inner attaches to outer via a series of hidden buttons along the sides and 3 along the collar. The stitching creates a very nice contrast and give the illusion of structure while the fabric just falls gently along the body. The jacket and sleeveless together are substantial enough for colder days, while each on its own can accommodate warmer and warmer temps. Pants are slim, and a touch too short for my liking (i'd prefer they break at the sneakers rather than just end there).

The Show ( only post the ones I like, great sitting 2nd row 6th seat from the start watching it, feeling the energy, bad regarding pictures because of the spotlight glare + obstruction )

 

After going over the video a few times, I think the fashion media got it wrong in the Looks sequence at the beginning, Look 6 should be the real Look 2, Look 2 should be Look 3, Look 3 is actually Look 4, Look 4 is Look 5 irl, Look 5 is Look 6, OK. Now we are clear. 

 

Look 1, slight speckle in the long knit.

 

Look 4 ( the correct one ), note the trick lower arm buttons

 

 

Look 8, my absolute favourite, try spot the armpit cut-out of the long knit coat

 

Look 10, boiler suit! Great styling though not entirely practical.

 

Look 13, I have the set-up in black

 

Look 14, think the coat is the same as Wire, Kiko and Valter has in SS12, just colour different.

Overall, good show, Look 8 my absolute best, I think Yohji wanted us to like more the not-so-serious DB, Faux Fur, Animal Print, Slim Cut look of his AW13. Just this Yohji fan is not a fan, seriously.

YYPH x Paris x Snow

 

YY Fan x YY Cambon ( YYPH AW04 x YYPH SS13 ) - bitterly cold....

 

Flagship store visit. SS13 First Encounter, 1st delivery on display, sadly departed before 2nd delivery due this week. Still, plenty of nice stuff. looks like a very promising season. Excuse the poor picture quality....ultra bright showroom resulted in under-exposure of all shots taken inside. Some pics cannot be used ( a massive cloud of black silhouette ).. Being a boring YY fan, I was obviously drawn to the black gabardine pieces ( more versatile and all year round wearability )

 

 

Non-runway unlined patterned knit blazer in charcoal, O/S apparently ( sz 3 ), 940 euro.

Look 10 - nicknamed Parachute Jacket by the SAs due to trick panel construction, folded over fabric creating a ballooning silhouette with multiple hidden buttoned pockets, amazing oversized cut. Striking orange cotton fabric.

 

 

Look 12 - the 100 wool iteration of Look 10, my favorite piece, 1450 euro

 

 

The crazily good wool gab iteration of the Look 7 Harem Pants with elasticated hem, O/S ( sz 3 ), so much fabric, button + wide ribbon closure. 

 

 

Wool gab iteration of the Look 25 Belted Trenchcoat, size 2 is huge. 2000 euro.

 

 

Look 26 Zip Blazer with fabric extensions, one dangling bit links the left cuff to the left bottom pocket, means it cannot be layered under a coat :( ...still a good blazer.

 

 

Look 30 3B Blazer in a rayon blend

 

 

Look 7 the navy iteration of the ubiquitous split hem long knit, supersoft cotton, O/S ( sz 3 ), supersized.

 

Tried on the harem pants with ribbon hems in 100 wool as well ( pics too poor to show ) but prefer the one with elasticated hems. Also saw the AW12 hakama pants in denim ( retailed as SS13 Cruise Collection in Europe so no discount ). Lots of other soft fabric Tees, shirts etc. Look 41, 42 and 43 rayon print pants have Ivwri's name on them :)

 

All in all, so far so good. The wool parachute blazer + wool harem pants are the target buys as a suit for me.
