Just the first shipment so far, less than half of the store's overall menswear buy for the season. It's quite an extensive selection for a single shipment, apart from the long shirts I do believe all the key styles are available right now.

Y's pants. Price is not amazing but maybe can be haggled. Had my eyes on it but i rather get something made of linen for the summer smile.gif

Either the seller lied about they've only been worn a few times or the pants are a sample. The tag has faded due to numerous washes or the code was hand written on....

Hi hi hi, long-time thread admirer, first time poster.

Can anyone tell me which collection this dress is from? I see 1991 at the bottom but my gut says between 1994-1996.

I'm writing an essay on Hiroshi Sugimoto for my degree and am looking to find a picture of the original dress- I've definitely, definitely seen it in a collection video on youtube (i'm combing thru to find it to screen cap, but videos are uplaoded in 5-7 parts so takes time), but if anyone knows anything definite to point me towards would be very much appreciated.

OK, nevermind, got it. It's from autumn winter 1996/97. It's stunning though, I think one of the best single items in his career.

Here's a couple of screencaps from the youtube video for reference:

Oh shit thanks Dantebykiko

The pictures make it even clearer how perfect the dress is. I wonder how many are out there?

no more than 20 i would guess. i've bought few pieces from this yohji period recently for my gf and i would say its probably the strongest. the videos can proof it =)

That AW96 YYF is certainly an iconic dress, iconic enough to be in the Barbican Centre ( 30 Years of Japanese Fashion ).

You see beautiful womens clothing like that and you cant help but feel silly about menswear and how comparatively limited it can be.

Yeah. I'm pretty comfortable with my gender but when I die I hope to God that I'm reincarnated as a woman in 1996.
