anyway im looking for a pic from the aw93/04 womenswear collection, in particular a black dress draped dress with an incomplete white stitching on the
neck line, the strand is left hanging at the end. I remember seeing this somewhere and i need a pic of it. anyone got it?

I'm having a tough time finding a simple black oversized below knee length coat under $1000 and thought this might be my answer

What is AAR? I've never seen it before... Is it a diffusion line?

A.A.R. was a collaboration with D'Urban, directed at business people.

 

I seem to recall that it was made by Yohji collaborating with students, or something like that, but I can't say for sure. That's why it says A.A.R. Yohji Design Studio and not A.A.R. Yohji Yamamoto. I have no idea about the quality, but the fit of the garments are certainly more conventional than what you usually see from the Master. Although there may be deviations.

 

Considering the angora wool of that coat, I don't think it's way too expensive, but I agree with David that it's more than I would pay for it myself. You can probably find a proper Yohji coat for that price with a little time and luck. Although it's more about the pieces themselves for me, and not the price. If I see something I really like, I don't pay too much attention to the price. I'm more concerned about visible marks etc. myself.

Things have been a bit crazy recently with work, so I haven't had a chance to look over the recent posts properly, but I wanted to take a moment, Iwvri, to congratulate you and your wife on  the birth of your baby. Actually, one of my closest friends and his wife had their second child a couple of days ago, and another friend had her second two weeks ago. It must be Spring:)

 

On the Yohji front, I've acquired a few interesting YYPH pieces since I last posted a fit pic here, and I hope to put up a few images sometime this week. 

 

By the way David, have you already put up the number 1 piece from your Top 5? If you have, I think I may have missed it.

As for the Top 5, there is one more Joint Number 2, then my absolute favorite to be posted. As I replied to cupper earlier, Number 2 is a SS piece and it's too cold now here in the Northern Hemisphere to wear summer stuff ( the Hakamas fit was the last summer one, even with legwarners ) so we will have to wait. A clue:- my all time favorite had been with me for over 25 years since new. Unparalleled sentimental value.
