I was just considering my choice of outerwear/winter coat to wear with Yohji, and this is perfect inspiration. Coat looks very cool, although maybe not that warm?

Atelier has launched a special collection where 10 designers each make one item, here is the

double vest in wool gab

I don't think that piece is specially designed to Atelier, even though they are claiming so. It is the look 5 one in wool gabardine, I just bought the same one from Japan.

I've heard that the price at Atelier is 1500 USD and they only have a size 2 left.

Hey valter, you were able to get it in wool gabardine from Japan? I was very interested in this piece actually.

I suspected that it wasn't as exclusive as they claimed cos Hervia Bazaar has the same item in white cotton (and of course the red silk version was on the runway). Does it fit true to size? I had inquired from Atelier earlier and they did indeed say that they only had a size 2 left.

Yeah, in wool gabardine. I haven't received it yet, I bought it NWT from anji_timu.

I'll let you know about the sizing when I receive it.

I think this is my best so far smile.gif

this double vest looks quite costumey, especially if you wear it with shirt underneath. gabardine on gabardine can be tricky.

I see what you mean kindof, I considered opening the blazer up and reshooting, but i kinda liked the costumey-ness shog[1].gif

Also there is no gabardine in this other than the coat (i think), the blazer is a cotton sweatshirt material. My life is sans gabardine...tragic smile.gif

I think Mr K was talking about the Atelier double vest and not your fit.

Anyway I can see your aesthetics and silhouette slowly evolving. And not a single shiny piece in sight is definitely a good start. ( the leather inserts on your coat are not counted )

Another x-post from the waywt today thread. Maiden voyage of some laine wool double layer trousers from AW07 I think (HX-P22-102)? Thick crunchy wool, jean style pockets, black rivets and a slim leg + low rise makes these very easy to wear.

One thing I'm quickly learning is that taking photos of black-on-black pieces is tough! It's a lot easier to look past cruddy photos on yjp, rakuten, ebay, etc now that I know how difficult it is to photograph the stuff lol
