It's a nice jacket/suit (ask kiko, he bought mine) but it's not ss07 as stated in the auction. Significantly older in fact - ss94
post #3228 of 5700

yeah, i got the full suit from asobu. dyed it black =) its not everyday suit though.

How did you dye it? I want to dye my linen pants to black.

Absolutely correct again #YohjiBible

Ben, either the eBay seller is misinformed or dishonest. S,M,L didn't exist in SS07.

If its the latter, what else is he hiding?

Great pick up shah. Looking forward to seeing your next fit pic with it biggrin.gif.

Just picked up the SS09 jacket wire was selling and very happy with it. Definitely more fitted than usual Yohji fare on me, but not in a bad way. Wearing it out today so will take a picture if I can. Love all the little details and the chunky buttons.

You are very welcome. Looked really really good.  Plenty of epic pieces lately here, AW05 Look 44 Rider, now this AW07 Look 4 Knit Insert.

As promised -

Fabric is a silk cotton blend that is extremely light with a rough texture similar to raw silk but softer I guess because of the cotton? Anyway, it is really nice and does not seem to wrinkle like linen or ramie.

There are some pretty nice details (a sort of triple pleat arrangement at the cuff with non-functional buttons and as you can see in the picture above a very nice pleat/vent arrangement at the back) and it fits me "just so". Very happy to have one more jacket in my wardrobe that's a light colour (will probably be the last one I will need for a while I suspect).

Wearing it with a Merz B Schwanen l/s top, SS08 suspender "ronin" pants that I have worn before and Marvielab suole shoes (which are EXCELLENT by the way. Great rubber sole making it extremely comfortable to walk about in and the construction and finishing is also excellent. Goes great with anything cropped in my opinion and looks very natural with hakama pants. First time I am wearing them with these pants and trying to evoke a sort of Samurai "Sock" but not completely sure it worked, but I am comfortable wink.gif).

Great fit as usual my friend. Thanks to my rubbish works monitor, which Look Ronin pants are they? I never think you can pair such thematic pants with " elegant " blazers but I was wrong and you pulled this off nicely. Those sleeves have those unbelievably over-engineered cuffs icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif may be you should take a close up of that and show it here to educate the masses lol

Anyway, great stuff.

Thanks David! I believe they are the look 41 pants - http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/slideshow/S2008MEN-YJIYMOTO/#41

100% Cotton without as pronounced a low rise as some of the other ones shown on the runway. Hadn't worn them in a while so decided to bust them out and see how they worked with the jacket, hehe.

EDIT - I also just won this auction off Y!:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Never handled any Yohji sunglasses before, but I like the design of the hinges and considering how cheap I won it for, even if the sunglasses themselves turn out not to be cool, the case alone would be worth it. Does anyone know anything about the couple of sunglasses Yohji has done? Who he partnered with or the quality level etc. Just curious.

I went with a size 45 and typically wear 44 in Ann D. The 45 is comfortable without much room in the front and I think if I went for a 44 I might not even be able to put it on. Very cool though and now that ln-cc is on 40% sale might not be a bad time to cop (I got them before the sales unfortunately frown.gif).

Yohji did a collaboration with Linda Farrow to produce a series called Prototype Glasses for the SS09 YYPH and SS09 YYF ( maybe other seasons after that ), they were mainly double lensed ( removable shades ) My wife and I both got a pair each. The mens one are shown with the Don't Do That suit.

Minimalistic case ( to go with the name Prototype lol ) but construction very good. Asos were selling them back then, Pollyanna also stocked them, and of course YY Flagships as well.
