Yohji, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Looser Fit (Yohji Yamamoto Thread) - Page 14

Yep, from the conduit st store. Do you have any info on japanese pricing? Usually it can be up to 40%+ difference, I do hope it's even more this time. shog[1].gif Hearing about the material and construction and seeing the prices of the two previous seasons I'm not that surprised though.

I have some of the Japanese pricing thanks to impolyt_one. Here's what I have:

The Chaps are about $1500
Sneakers - ~ $440
White l/s button-up shirt from look 7 - ~ $440
Black jacket from look 7 - ~ $520
Hakama pants (I am assuming this is wool as well) from look 7 - $710 (so assuming it's the same pants, there's a saving of $440 or close to 40%. If one factors in 18% VAT the price difference gets a little bit better though, but still...).

I need to get pricing on the T-shirts actually (I want all of them inlove.gif)

Unfortunately, still haven't been able to get access to a scanner so decided to put up just the product codes for the Spring 2012 collection .

Legend

B = button-down shirt, C = coat, E = shoes, F = belt, H = hat, J = jacket, K = Knits (I think), L = belt (must be a different type of belt from the "F" set), N = Necktie (used as a belt in some looks), P = pants, T = non-BD/traditional shirting.

Looks can be found in the correct order here and here.

Codes

That's great Xumatrix! I saw a Yohji fit of yours over on peoplewearingyohjiyamamoto tumblr and on SZ with the AW11 shirt-jacket hybrid.

Good stuff.

Looking forward to your posts in here and welcome to the forum smile.gif.

for the 200th 201st post we should celebrate this magnificent thread with something equally good

This coat is godly, one of my holiest grails and the only thing better might be the long DB version. Sizing be damned, if I find this I'll pick it up in any size

Also, Ivwri, awesome job on posting all of those codes. You don't need to to scan it, it should be up online soon (hopefully). icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

lol, i copped a blazer and pants.
the Yohji was over- priced on gilt, I got yohji pants from gilt and it showed the original price was 1200, I found out on the tag that its msrp was only 50000 yen(=550 us), it's retail price jacked up a lot in the US.

Unfortunately for me, Gilt doesn't take Nigerian visa or mastercards so I stopped keeping up with their sales. That's cool though. What season's stuff? Sounds like it was "The Men". That's the one season I distinctly remember seeing a camo blazer.

Take pics when you receive them and post? biggrin.gif

Also asobu that coat is indeed excellent. I should stop looking at coats and knits though. The temptation to buy gets harder and harder to resist and they'll hardly get any wear frown.gif. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and move back to a temperate climate then I can buy all the coats and knits I want icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Japanese stuff is always a bit overpriced in the US anyways. And look at brands such as RRL or Alden in Japan the prices are crazy high

Wore a linen blazer from SS10 today. It's a simple jacket, but I like it. Wore it almost every day for a week when I went on a business trip last year. The linen has a lot more detail and texture to the colour than is shown in the main pics so took a few close-ups. The lining is cotton in most areas with some cupro. Pants are a linen/cotton/polyester blend from SS11 and move amazingly.
