I was looking at some Y-3 stuff for the raincoat as well actually and sneakers. Will post if I end up picking anything up. Might be getting one for the missus as well. Ended up grabbing the Rain poncho I posted above. Will report back when I get it as well.

You get a bigger discount by contacting Y-3 store in London ( 50% off  ) than Y-3 store.com because Y-3 London is run by Hervia but their website is rubbish, a lot of the stuff in shop are not listed online. I tried the Fusion Coat and is really nice.

I think the whole idea of Y-3 is Sport Utility Yohji style and leave the avant garde to YY and Y's.

@ yohji store, didn't see any fw12 caps Iwvri but they had just one or two grey ones from ss12 left (not the military, those were sold out already. they sell out of almost everything every season haha)

damir shirt + yohji hakamas

hakamas and this incredibly lightweight jersey shirt so comfortable that i didn't pick up but might later on redface.gif

The hakamas don't look bad with the Purcell's at all shah. I dont know what you were complaining about over in RFT, lol. Is that jersey shirt the same one on justoneeye? If it is I agree that it is really nice nod[1].gif.

haha thanks yeah i guess they aren't terrible. could do better but that will come with time i hope!
the shirt is not the same, it had a no collar as opposed to the madarin-style collar i see (i guess that's what it's called?)

i also put on a shirt/cardigan that had the normal button placket as well as one or two that were set slightly to the right, almost like very close double-breasted. i don't even remember exactly, i tried on a lot, i wanted it all, Luis was having fun just watching my amazement at all the stuff.

Which Yohji store is it?

ivwri let me know if you want log-in for yohjioldphotos.com. you can access yohji's men from a/w 2001 and women from s/s 2000 which include none edited runway looks. like those from a/w 2000.

off the topic. friend of mine will be going to paris and interview yohji for one hour for german magazine. i almost choked when he told me over dinner couple of hours ago. seriously considering asking if i can go and pretend to be his assistant. one hour 1 on 1 with yohji it's life goal to be honest. also the my other friend from berlin said that wim wenders lives nearly by his studio and he sees him couple of times a week passing by with his bike in full yohji outfits.... such a small world..

couldn't resist by post those cropped a/w 2001 photos.... they are simply stunning, would love to have them printed out and have them framed glued next to each other on two rows...

i might go to lcf library as they have "designers archives". you request it and they give you whole folder with all the press designer had for each year, including runway shows. i've seen margiela's file which had original pages from belgian newspapers from 93', hopefully yohji's will be even better.

yohjioldphotos.com has very strict terms and conditions in using their images in a public domain like this one?

Despite my having no love for the sport (don't hurt me!), I really like the styling and a lot of the pieces (have a jacket and a pair of pants thanks to asobu and both are pretty cool). Still on the lookout for the suspenders and the cropped pants in black or polka dot. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The kids also look like they had a lot of fun happy.gif.

Ivwri, I just browsed the comprehensive lists of videos & Runway pics you compiled and I saw this and you are trying to track down these pants?

I am not sure, are they a different cut from those used in look 39? -

I want them to fit like that. Those ones you posted look like they are longer and the same cut with the striped linen ones I picked up from asobu. Not sure if it is just the height of the model as opposed to the cut of the pants.

Ask the seller for measurements. This dude does look very tall.

^I'm quite sure that the L39 pants you're after Ivwri are different from the L40 ones. The pair David posted are definitely the same cut as mine (well, yours, hehe), but there are a few variations of cuts and those two are different.

shah, love the pics, that looks great on you. Finally caught up with RFT and read your impressions - glad to hear you like the collection, and had a good time at the store too. No matter which store I've been to the SA's have always been astonishingly helpful and kind.

I'm in the process of digitalising the few magazine pics I have from older collections, will post up here later on. There's just a few select looks from each season but I guess that's better than nothing? Quality isn't good either, hehe, but yeah...

Think Asobu is right. He and Wire are the western godfathers in the Yohji Universe :)

PS. Not to make you sound old Asobu haha, cos think I am the oldest here, just you two have boundless knowledge.
