btw, I've noticed quite a few items including these 3/4 hakamas which I didn't see in any of the runway looks. how much stuff does yohji produce that's not shown in the collection, or am i just missing something?

Yeah, very happy with their buy. Only store I have seen with a similar buy or as much range was Harvey's in Berlin and they aren't online. I hope they continue like this when the next season rolls around. Seems like a lot of stores reduce their Yohji buy every season due to not being able to sell most of it unfortunately :/.

Ikkon's very brave having two of the silk jackets. I hope they get picked up to encourage them, hehe.

There's quite a bit of stuff that gets produced that doesn't show on the runway, at least for this season. Those pants are a perfect example and they showed up on a couple of sites. I also saw a blue heavyweight cotton jacket in the Paris flagship that had pouches round the back that wasn't on the runway either. Loads of jackets didn't make the runway cut as well from the various cuts I have seen.

Ivwri - those Marsell slip-ons came, and I am not impressed. They feel really flimsy, have a silly little rubber sole, the leather is uninteresting, and they generally don't exude nearly enough quality as they should, considering they cost as much as a pair of Tricker's boots. They're going back tomorrow. you'd be better off getting a local leatherworker to put something together for you, which it sounds like you probably could.

That sucks. This is the problem I have with the brand in general though, no consistency at all. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

I actually do have a friend that works with leather so I will see what she can wrangle for me.

I have been eyeing that jacket for weeks now. lol.

Very tempted, but not sure about the sizing, measurements look perfect but I dunno. Guess I could always message the seller...

go for it. they accept returns, but i'm sure you would not want to part with it, once you try it.

Probably right biggrin.gif. Well, will see what happens next week. Definitely a beautiful jacket for sure.

When I met up with wire in Berlin, he had on this beautiful white shirt from the suspender collection that had a slit at the back just like this jacket does and another one on the breast pocket I believe.

yeah i think i've seen this shirt on rakuten. if i didn't spend all of my money buying cdg dresses for my gf, two days ago at the dsm sample sale i would def go for this jacket.

Anyone planning to be in Paris for fashion week next month? If enough people are going would be cool to do a meet-up and see if we can make it for the Yohji show. Pretty excited for SS2013 already, lol.

Seriously thinking about being in Paris if enough people are going to be there.

Would love to be, but I don't think I have the time. Paris during fashion week usually results in stories. At least for us plebes who are outside the industry.

You should do it! I think shah is going to be in Paris during this period? Would be great if we could all attend the Yohji show (amongst others). I am trying to decide whether it would be worth going (and trying to figure out how to get invites). I should be winding down work on a new project if everything goes according to plan so it would not be a bad break. Hopefully the sun will be out as well. Any more takers?

Vertice London will stock Yohji for the AW season! Here is a sneak preview of some pieces. Hopefully they will sell these online too.

Every piece looks so beautiful.
