How many WOOL ties do you have? Opinion on this one as my staple.

I have several knit ties already — including the staple navy and burgundy. I think I need a wool tie for the winter! How many do you guys have? I think this tie would be extremely versatile enough to just own 1 wool tie...
350

Meh. How wide is it?

It's nice (enough). Coming from someone based in LA, I do not own a single wool tie - I have a hard time just working in my two cashmere ones.

Too narrow for my tastes. I have a nearly identical one from JPress in 3.35 width

That's a J. Crew tie, right? Nice, though need to make sure collar of the shirt and lapels of the jacket you wear it with provide some congruency. i typically like a little color in my wool ties, but I have more than a few and enjoy wearing them this time of year.

I have about 6-7 and love them. None are narrower than 3.5" though.

I have one in navy that I bought yesterday. I plan to wear it with a mid-gray flannel suit.

I like the color and texture, but at 2.5 inches, it's too narrow in my opinion, as others have stated. And besides, looks like it's sold out.

My one and only wool tie is a solid navy (3.5 inches) from thetiebar.com, and for 15 bucks, I love it.

Yeah, it's the J. Crew one. Would you pay $25 for a mint condition one?

I was thinking the same thing about it being narrow. I have one other J. Crew tie and find it nearly impossible to tie.

i have a 3" herringbone wool/silk tie
theory brand
have gotten several compliments on the tie
but it's up for swap since i do think 3" is too skinny now

I had a few of the BB Black Fleece wool ties, but after a few years decided I no longer liked the narrow width.

Did you sell them already?

Definitely depends on where you live. I own about a dozen vintage Pendleton wool ties that I wear for a more casual office environment during the long Chicago winters.

Perhaps about 10%-20% of my ties are wool. I generally prefer solid ties, and solid wools often provide a texture, vibrancy, and/or depth that is hard to beat.

Cool tie.
And yea stay away from ultra slim wool retro ties.
Also, look into grenadine solids.
I've been meaning to get a navy ...
That's another "one tie"

Now, go answer the poll below.
