Shoes suitable to wear day to day for business/work with a suit or business attire?

Hey all,

First post, hoping to get some help. I need a new pair of every day business shoes, the ones I currently have are looking a bit tired. Just saw these shoes today, really like them:

I wanted to get your opinions on if these shoes would be a suitable business shoe? I.e. would they look good for day to day wear for business/work with a suit/business attire?

Cheers,

JH

Thanks for the feedback!

Here is the page: http://www.mrhare.co.uk/Eel%20Fitzgerald.html

Suit wise, I wanted these to be my replacement as my staple business shoes. So any suit or just business pants and a shirt & cardigan in Autumn. Main suits I have are a navy Paul smith, a black D&G martini wool/silk blend, charcoal Boss and a black & white pin stripe.

I think SFP is pulling your leg. I would not buy those for business wear.

Not at all... I'd stick with classic balmorals if they're gonna be your only dress shoes...

Yeah thanks guys. I really did think these are more of a great evening shoe...

Any reccos in the <400 pound range?

Crockett and Jones? Check Pediwear.com.

Those are more of evening, tux, black tie shoes

Get something that is not overall shiny. Many people would recommend Alden, Allen Edmonds, C&J, etc. Find the one that fits you best and see how you like them.

Yeah, totally unsuitable for the day-time. Personally, I wouldn't recommend them for evening either, they are not very nice looking. The particular combination of three different leathers does not look very elegant to me, they just look over-designed.

Since the OP references pounds, I am assuming he's in the UK. AEs are way over-priced there. He's better off concentrating on British brands if that is the case: C&J, Alfred Sargent, Cheaney, or Loake 1880 for something a little less pricey.
