Washing raw denim when its new?

Hey guys,

So, I bought some levi 510's rigid stretch denim:

But, at the time when I bought them, I didn't know what raw denim is, and I bought them based on their "new" colour, i.e. a solid dark blue.

Is it possible for me to just wash them on cold in the washing machine + hang to dry without wearing it, for it to keep a uniform colour? Also, do the jeans fade multiple times on multiple washes, or does it only fade on the first wash?

Thanks!

Hey Breaux,

I have the same model, my uncle bought me a pair for christmas along with a brand new Nexus S. They don't shrink at all and they don't fade much, so wash on hot and dry on cotton setting. Looks as mint as ever.icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
