Researching quite in advance father's day present...any comments on quality of materials and construction of the Dunhill London Single Document Satchel
will be much appreciated. Father likes the style, color, size but I am not familiar with Dunhill products...thank you very much.

Dunhill makes very nice stuff.

Looks good. I've been looking for one for awhile now as well. However, from the looks of it, you have to open a latch and two buckles in order to open it. That could get annoying after awhile.

For the price you'll pay, why not go with S.A. Briggs?

Thank you. Do they have a similar model? I'll visit the website.

They have one for about 70 pounds more: no straps, brass hardware instead of palladium, English bridle leather instead of Belgian.

Very nice, thank you; though my father is partial to the straps for whatever reason.

I just picked up the dark brown one. I wanted something nice to carry my 13 macbook and ipad but didn't want anything bulky or heavy to carry. I'm an automotive and motorsports enthusiast so I've always admired Dunhill's sidecar products. I first looked at the S.A. Briggs Westminster single but it was just too plain. Like Wooly's dad, I am partial to the straps lol. S.A have similar bags with straps but are a bit too big and heavy to carry around especially if i'm only hauling an ipad and a few documents. So I went into Dunhill and was greeted by very friendly and helpful sales staff. No women's products here so no pompous bs. Just guys talking to guys about stuff. They even had one of their dapper dressed colleagues model the different color bags for me. Anyways, here's the bag. Love it!

BTW, the gentleman in the video posted above will be at the store to personally engrave leather goods on 4/25. How cool is that.
