HSM "American Classic" Suit

Hi all,

 

First time poster semi-long lurker. I've been trying to figure out on this HSM suit I just got to see if it was a steal

 

Its labeled under their "American Classic" line and the waistband )s blue with the gold trumpeter. Its half-canvassed (the canvas piece ends before the first button hole) 2-button center vent taupe with light grey/blue chalk.

 

I got it for $199. NWT.

 

Based on the previous threads I am assuming this was a steal. Any thoughts?

Looks like a good deal. I don't know much about HSM but I thought the Gold Trumpeter was fully canvassed. How's the fit?

I thought so too, maybe its just when its MTM? Nordstrom shows a "Gold Trumpeter" for orig. price $895 whereas this one orig was $795.

It fits pretty well off the rack. I'll probably have it taken in 1/2 an inch at the jacket waist. It does have a good bit of padding in the shoulder, which I dont mind since I have sloped shoulders, but an FYI to everyone else.
