Sorry to revive this old thread... but has anyone had experience with Mario's Alteration or First Class Tailors ?

I'm debating between these 3:

Wilshire Tailor - Paul

6329 Wilshire Blvd
Los AngelesCA 90048

Mario's Alterations
9615 Brighton Way
Beverly HillsCA 90210

First Class Tailors - Marina

11701 Wilshire Blvd Ste 2
Los AngelesCA 90025

Any Help would be fantastic, thank you!

First Class/Marina is really good. Not cheap. But good.

Just dropped off a Phineas Cole suit at Wilshire Tailors -- the quote was:

$160 (8 sleeve button holes @ $20/each)
$275 Jacket (shoulders, upper back, sides in)
$25 (pants hem)

Will update on finished product -- for $460 I'm hoping for flawless.

Don't hope for flawless. So many alterations means the jacket didn't fit to begin with. Even with the best tailor, you shouldn't expect a great result.

It's pretty close actually -- could get away with less if I spent less time on SF. It's about as good as an OTR jacket's ever fit me, but then again I'm a 36 with weird posture.
