Loud Wooden Heels

Do wooden heels get quieter after wears? Got a pair of boots that are very loud when I walk, I noticed Aldens are like this too. Any way to silence them?

Are you sure they're wood and not stacked leather? Leather heels do get a little quieter once they've been worn a bit, but you could always try a Topy or similar on the heel - any cobbler will put one on for you.
