How To Roll Up Shirt Sleeves - Page 7

M. Corbera,

Could you comment upon the applicability of sleeve-rolling techniques for the gentleman of lesser stature? I find that due to the low cuff-to-sleeve ratio of my shirts, many of the techniques demonstrated above requiring multiple rolls would involve rolling a sleeve all the way over to the other side of my body! While pondering the ability to perform this feat from both sides simultaneously, I was reminded of the mathematical entity known as a Klein bottle. Unfortunately, I don't believe my shirts support this topology. I eagerly await your response.

Yours, etc.

My need to understand and master sleeve rolling has brought about the next logical question. Where does this remarkable art form originate?! I MUST KNOW! Italy, I suspect, can anyone elaborate?

I have added this thread to my Encyclopaedia Thread / Forum Armarium which is linked in my "~Dig~" sig at the bottom of this post.

Thanks for posting it!

Good thinking. Always have an exit strategy.

^^ This is true, considering the wrinkles involved, which are clearly a by product. Has there been any advancements in portable irons?

On a side note, I thank the gods that this thread is back...

I have actually noticed the "under roll" more than a few times on men that are more business than business casual. I do not like the way that it looks or understand it. Does any one know where this style gets it roots?
