i dunno. i would just say fuck strict paleo on go beans, whey, casein, eggs if i was vegetarian.

i agree with what you're saying, for the most part, but

1) carbs are a macro, not a food
2) theyre no higher in calories/gram than protein, and less than half that of fat.

lose the fat. it's hard to have visible abs when they're covered up.

Indeed. This is cliched, but you can't spot-reduce fat on any one part of your body. As your bf% falls below a certain number, you'll start seeing your abs. For me, it was 11-12%.

it's pretty obvious what i mean. you're not going to think of veggies as carbs. and it's not how much calories it has in a bomb calorimeter, but how energy dense and non satiating most carb rich foods like bread and pasta are. there are some exceptions tho. potatoes would be thought of as white carbs, but surprisingly extremely satiating at least in the short term. some potatoes at meals on workout days would be good if you want to lose weight as quickly as possible and are able to be strict about it. otherwise some potatoes every day would help with mental relief. not to mention the potassium is difficult to get in your diet

generally you will start to see your abs at 8% bf BUT this depends on how developed your abdominal muscles already are (if they are bigger you will see them sooner) . So if you already dont have much fat on you do a mix of high rep exercises and youll need to throw in some lower rep, resistance exercises. Abs are just like any other muscle, i mean if you wanted your biceps to pop and get bigger you would use heavier weights and lower reps right, same with abs. . .Also skip doing oblique work. Love handles are all diet, any oblique work will just make you look wider when you get lean. . GOOD LUCK!

I actually do higher reps as well 25-30 for sets but thats because ive been doing abs for awhile and mine are already decently developed. For someone who never really trained abs a faster way to try and develop the muscles would be to do a mix to really hit fast and slow twitch muscle fibers.

A 6 pack is not something you can train for. The key is: fat % around 10% or lower. You can always do the 'fitness' exercises to train your muscles, but the key lies in a low fat % and a healthy diet. Good luck!
