saw one of my buddies today is some dope looking cargo pants. figured they were something relatively expensive as I know he's kind of into clothing a bit. turns out they were levis. design, material, and fit were all spot on. i think he said they were the 508 cut?

Great thread, crazy I haven't discovered it until now.

Haven't really read through everything, so maybe this has already been suggested several times, but in that case, it's still worth repeating: outlets are da shit!
There's this outlet about 1 hour from where I live with +40 brands, all discounted, and often with extra-discounts on on already discounted items in some corner or on some table in pretty much every store.
Especially Filippa K, you find crazy deals there everytime, bought a jacket for 30 $ that retails for 350 $ in normal stores as of now

Hey guys, im not sure if this is the right spot for this question, but i figured since both the brands were brought up here i would ask as one of you would probably know.

-Anyways-

If you had to compare the jeans and pants of zara to uniqlo, what would you say? Im 6'1" 170 Lbs and i kinda like a skinnier feel to my pants and jeans. However I do have a 33-34 waist and fairly big thighs. Any help would be appreciated as i cannot find anything about the fit of zara pants/ jeans.

Those new Kent Wang sneakers are looking pretty fresh. Definitely gonna pick some up when they expand their sizes in the spring.

Honestly out of all the stuff Zara makes their jeans have always been my favorite products, dyes they use on them always seem to be really nice, the quality IMO is decent I actually have one pair of indigo ones that are probably on of favorites and probably on par of some Paul Smith but that's only one pair. Every now and then they do bring out items nylon/heavy cotton that for the most part are pretty similar to higher designers since nylons/cotton aren't high prices material.

Loehmans always has some good stuff for cheap, I remember picking up a few sweaters from life after denim that were like 20 bucks from 90, cotton but light summer knits but they were actually really nice for the price. The thing about a lot of brands it's not always who makes but the fabrics that they use that really will determine some of the quality IMO.

The other thing that I think is important is finding a good tailor which in some places it might be difficult but it can make a huge difference in how clothes look.

And I agree with you on Yoox everything does look pretty shitty in their pictures.

no. they look terrible. i don't understand why people hype atrocities like those but look down on converses, vans, stan smiths, basic low top nikes, etc. y'all just made to believe they're "premium" because kent wang picked them up off the production line before adidas added their logo.

Who said they were premium? How are they "atrocious" if they're essentially Rod Lavers pre-branding (as you suggested yourself), in line with all the alternatives you recommended?

I'd buy the Rod Laver Cleans if adidas still made them, but they don't. So if I want some shoes that are white, leather, and don't have any logos, what's wrong with these?

they're derivative and look like cheap knock offs, which they are, just sold by kent wang and not wal mart.

Nobody has argued that they're not extremely similar to adidas' models, but then again some of this forum's favorite articles of clothing are pretty derivative. They certainly don't look cheaper than anything you mentioned, and they have the benefit of not having even the slightest observable logo. Since nothing else offers that alternative, why does that make you so angry?

Anyone know where I can find a cheaper alternative to this?

From this site... It's an A.P.C. X Carhartt collab, but I'm just looking for a navy canvas with some type of fur (or fur-like) lining that shows on the collar.

Seems simple, but I've only found that and something that sort of looks like it that from Old Navy that I really don't like at all.

Have you checked Levi's? they usually have a trucker jacket version of that. Try a website like revolveclothing, maybe. Also, you can just go for carhartt but they fit like shit.
Yeah, I figured Levis would have something like that. I checked out revolve and levis online, but couldn't find what I was looking for. However, I do know the online levis usually holds out a lot so I'm going to check their outlet store later today.

Thanks for the advice.

Can anyone recommend me some workwear type of boots for winter? I was kinda interested in getting the Kahtadins, but I find them a bit too big. Maybe something more similar to the CP x Robert Geller boots that Synthese wears? I want some cheapish kinda boots, since they're going to be ruined by the salt/snow anyways =/.

Thanks!

VOIDTHEBRAND is having a 50% sale right now, ~$35 for some drapey tees is more than fair... the work is a bit derivative but the designer seems like a pretty cool guy.
