Shirtmakers in Honk Kong

My dad just came back from a trip to HK, and had a few shirts made, and the price was about 200-350 HDK per shirt. He's pretty satisfied, but since this was a very small operation, he can't even email or call them to get more shirts made and shipped to the US. I was sent on a quest to find out if there were any Shirtmakers in HK who would make MTM shirts based on an already existing shirt or provided measurements in that price (who could presumably ship to the US). Any help would be much, much appreciated.

You can use Lee Baron Fashions. I have been using Peterlee for a couple years now and he has done a great job for me. Prices are great and he is easy to deal with.

I saw Lee Baron, but those prices are basically 2x as much as my dad paid for his shirts.

At only 70 a shirt you really can't go wrong. YOu can go hit or miss with Jantzen, but your orders could take up to 4 months or never arrive.

But that's still twice the amount paid in HK.

Better end of the market try Ascot Chang.

But you never know what you might end up in that place since you're not there to inspect the shirts.

This is probably the best shirtmaker in HK.

what does basic mean?

Peter Lee charges around $540 HKD per shirt. Regarding the OP's question, I also recommend using Peter even if he is more expensive. Most of the guys who are much cheaper that say they ship to the US are unreliable and the fabrics of much poorer quality. Peter will treat you right from the beginning and save you time and therefore money in the long run.

I am wearing one of Peter's shirts now. They are of fantastic quality. I now have 10 to 15 shirts, a suit, and a few sport jackets from Peter (I did visit him for my initial fitting and order) and my review is unequivocally positive.

how do you guys pick shirt fabrics from Peter Lee when ordering remotely?

He can send samples or I'll ask him to take some photographs of options he has giving him detailed descriptions such as " light blue puppy checks, medium weight cotton that doesn't wrinkle too much."
