7. Top Talent likes other Top Talent.

#10-sometimes whos the boss is the problem.

Keep that in mind!

Having worked in big organizations, this is true to a certain point. But you need to define what the "best" talent is. In this case the article is probably referring to the most ambitious and driven employees which is not always what it takes to run a big organization.

Large organizations are at their best when they excel at retaining all kinds of employees. This includes ambitious and driven employees and well as those who want to do their time and go home. Organizations that are filled solely with the former or the latter group almost always end up doing poorly, one due to high turnover/personality clashes and the other due to lethargy and apathy.
