I have monkey arms. 16.5 collar, ~ 38.5 sleeves. I've been able to accommodate this with dress shirts and jackets. Places like Nordstrom sell many shirts in these lengths, I've bought nicer shirts in "XXL" and had them taken in around the chest, and custom shirting is pretty widely available. Likewise every now and then I'll find a 43L jacket with extra long sleeves and enough fabric left in the cuff for a tailor to get it to where I need it to be.
My problem is with sweaters. Virtually none are sized by sleeve length (it's always L, XL, XXL...) So, online shopping is almost always out of the question. When measurements are there, I have found them to be inaccurate since sweaters do stretch so you do not know whether the measurement is stretched or relaxed. Few sweaters seem to have extra-extra long sleeves, and there's nothing a tailor can do. I have not seen much in the way of bespoke, at least affordable. The result is that I rarely look for sweaters, and rarely wear them.
I'm posting here to see if there are any others with pretty long arms (38+) vs. normal body shape and whether there are particular brands of sweaters you've find that tend to go real long on the sleeves.
