EU aka French pant sizes don't go down to 34 for men. If you mean Italian then don't normally go below 42. For dress pants below 44.

He means 34 inches.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm close to the same size as you, probably also a 62EUR, if I knew what that meant. I've never seen an actual definition for European sizes as I have for American, but I'm assuming that European suit sizes are supposed to be chest circumference in cm divided by 2, as the often quoted "inches plus ten" seems preposterous. I do have a slightly larger neck and smaller waist than you, but we're basically in the same boat. Forget about trying to find deals, it's more a question of if the items even exist at all, even if you're looking at retail prices. That's why they don't show up here on B&S, because there's few who are even willing to make them.

OK I'm talking 34 inches or 86 cm waist measurement, that's what I normally looked for in the UK. In China pants and jeans sizes quoted in cm, sometimes inches as well. Don't fully understand these EU measurements though, seems to be neither inches nor cm.

BTW what does the US use? Inches probably.

EU size is American size plus 10, for any sizes in the normal range anyway. This may change slightly for extremely large sizes (larger than 56EU).

An EU 56 is 44 inches. Even at the 56 the -10 rule of thumb is off a full size.

What is the typical circumference of one's hip bones or rib cage? I definitely have some weight I need to lose, so I won't make any bones (haha) about that. However I sometimes wonder whether my skeleton would fit into some of these smaller sizes!

Opposite end of the spectrum: Why is everything so big I ask, how about 29 trousers and 36 suit jackets that are actually scaled to 36. Most manufacturers 36s are closer to 38s in neck size and have huge waists.

It realy looks like you and I are out of luck and will have to do MTO:) In the end we all end up forgetting how much we paid for an item and the only thing left is an item that fits or not

This.

In addition, I buy stuff that's close to my own size, so if it doesn't sell I can wear it.
