the seller says they are vintage (therefore american made). 99 seems like a decent price. do they look like genuine american made florsheims? the black inner looks kinda fishy.

They are not Imperials or Royal Imperials, just regular line and still easily worth the money.
Ask the seller to confirm that the shoes do not smell musty. They may be new old stock but if they are musty you'd never be able to get rid of the smell. If seller assures they do not smell moldy or musty, go for it.

im looking to purchase a charcoal suit. would these shoes work well with a charcoal suit and a blue/navy/blue-gray tie?

Personally, I would wear them casual. A preferred shoe for a suit would be a 270° welted Balmoral.
Can they be worn with a charcoal suit? Yes, if you wish.

waaaaa arent these shoes dress shoes? i though they were meant to be worn with a suit. do you reckon the shoe 2nd from the left in my display picture is a better brown than the ebay shoe?

its really hard to find brown shoes that look alive in my price range ~$100. all the browns i see are dull and flat, looks like paint.

TBH, the incredible vast majority of people will not know/care that plain toe bluchers are not technically appropriate for a suit.

there an oxford... it has nothing to do with the color and everything to do with the fact that these shoes are historically and typically casual.
