Sid definitely embodies this idea. Though he matches these singular items while wearing, at times, comically cropped pants and I think that takes away from his point. Anyway, I digress. I think this is very solid advice. As someone who loves to incorporate subtle FU pieces into every outfit I wear, I think one stand-out or cheeky detail makes far more of an impact if its set to a backdrop of conservative clothes and cuts. To put a ton of crazy stuff together actually takes away from each of their values because they constantly distract and dilute one another.
All that said I just won the tacky Christmas outfit competition in the office for wearing Burberry patterned pants, a Masters green SC and a tie that plays Jingle Bells
