Here's a classic sportcoat from defunct trad retailer Chipp of New Haven, CT: About a 40, but check measurements:

Chest: 22"
Sleeve: 24"
length (BoC): 31.5"
Shoulder: 18.5"

Classic styling, ventless.

Chipp is not defunct. It currently operates in New York as Winston Tailors doing bespoke and MTM.
Most importantly, it is run by the same and founding family. Wiinston Tailors is a Style Forum
