Where to buy these shoe tree rings handles? or knobs?

My shoe trees don't have them, I would like to "upgrade" them. I went to brook brothers the other day and took a look at thier shoe trees, those metal rings + base are screwed down to the wood with a screws that is built into the metal base. i went to home depot to get a knob and to install them you need access to the other side of the shoe tree, the included screw isn't long enough, where can i get teh knobs and ring handles that can be used for shoetrees?

I don't want the shoe tree, i just want the ring (as shown) or the knob (not shown here)

I get all of mine at Brooks Brothers, just picked up three more at a recent sale. They are the knob type.

Take the bolt that comes included with the cabinet knob and screw it into the knob. You should still have at least a half inch of thread left. Cut off the head of the bolt. Now drill a hole slightly smaller than the bolt and screw in the bolt. You can probably add some glue and CVS cloth tape to really secure it.

Having your knob fall off is... well.. pretty embarrassing.

Are they doing funny things to your shirts when wearing?

Take a tree to Lee Valley and explain what you want. They might have something self threading that might work. I assume you can drill a hole shog[1].gif
