some spray paints can degrade the plastic of the helmet causing it to fail when it is needed. Lets hope that is the case here.

Oh please teach me how to change my shoe's color as well!

Spraying something that might contain solvents onto something which is meant to protect your head from an impact doesn't sound like a particularly good idea.

Yes and painting the helmet will most likely void the warranty.
