Brooks Brothers at Nordstrom Now?

I didn't see a thread on this, but I just learned that Nordstrom is now selling Brooks Brothers stuff. The suits & SCs were all USA Made Fitzgerald cut. In fact, I grabbed a suit and sport coat for $800 out the door (MN doesn't have sales tax on clothes).

The shirts don't seem as nice as the ones at Brooks Brothers, but I am not that fond of their shirts to begin with. I was very surprised to see this. When I saw a few shirts at the Rack, I was suspicious that someone had accepted a return they shouldn't have. I remember, while working at JAB in college, some woman demanded that I accept a bunch of Brooks Brothers shirts as a return. When I tried explaining that we didn't sell BB stuff, she got furious and said "we were a men's store, so we should take them."

Yeah, I saw this a few weeks back. Almost bought a decent brown pin-stripe Fitz model from Nordstrom that was on sale for $500. They had a number of suits and SCs at pretty heavy discounts. The SA didn't really give me a good explanation as to why they were carrying BB.

They've been selling BB at some Seattle area Nordstroms for about a year now.

NM and Barney's also sell Black Fleece.

Probably so they don't have to open more stores.

Ha! I wish. I'm slightly surprised that my manager didn't accept it. Regional and upper management is pretty crazy, and I wouldn't be surprised that if she called and bitched he would have at least gotten yelled at.

The guy told me they started carrying them about the beginning of the year. The one little pet-peeve is I told him I'm a 40R in Fitzgerald and Regent cuts, and he told me "these are special cuts just for Nordstrom." The sleeve tags said they were Fitzgerald cut.

What did the inside tag say? Gilt had some BB suits before that were special cuts that had a different tag in them.

They just have Brooks Brothers in script, but the store tags have the model as Fitzgerald. I haven't checked the interior tags.

The shirts had navy tags and were made in Malaysia.

Soon they'll be selling Joseph A. Bank at Mens Wearhouse.
