CORNELIANI quality? - Page 2

Some of the older stuff has moderately padded shoudlers, which I didn't love. But I really like the fabric and cut overall

Don't mean to go terribly off topic, but is there a thread that has a rough RTW suit manufacturer quality tier list? I tried searching, but I may be using the wrong terms. I guess you could go off of price, but we all no thats not always an accurate indicator of quality. That said the Corneliani brand seems to be a good value, based off of the comments here.

Perfect, thanks.

Timely thread; I have a Corneliani mainline suit that I picked up last spring (after reading various threads in this forum), and really like the way it fits, so much so I was looking at getting a second. I was shown a suit labeled Rinaldo Raspini (made by Corneliani). Does anyone know anything about that line and where they fall compared to the mainline quality? Google only turned up the odd for sale item.

I was thinking of picking up a few to sell but may not be enough interest or $.

Well how much were they? Staple colors would do well I would think... especially if they are nice as the PRL made in Italy stuff they make.

I think about $600 but no solids.

Sorry, are you guys talking about the Rinaldo Raspini suits that I mentioned? If so where did you see them for $600?

No, regular Corneliani (Mantua model).

Ah, that's a good price for a current model no? I believe I paid 1200cdn for mine the Raspini is on for $900 16.75micron high twist navy blue with a nice pinstripe. I'm tempted to check out Samuelsohn before I jump into the raspini

Shameless plug alert: if anyone here is interested I've got a NWOT navy Corneliani suit in a 40L in the B&S for $600. Shoot me a PM if it sparks you're interest.

Ties aren't usually seven-fold, but excellent nonetheless. Just sold a linen one here recently.
Also, all PRL suits are Corneliani made (half canvas, but with better fabrics than CC Corneliani). As are PRL made in Italy slacks.

+1

Wow.

Corneliani is a good suit maker and will last you for a long time. I found their mainline is on par with Canali mainline while their Linea Sartoria line is a step above the mainline though not as good as the first tier maker as Chester Barrie, Brioni et al.
