Prefer the old tags.

Anyone know how the 19th c. shirts fit this season compared to others? Were they extra slim a la the madras work shirts and tab collars? I've got a 19th c madras from last SS'11 that fits pretty well (hair snug) and a 19th c. workaday that fits perfectly (lil loose). Trying to figure how this would stack up.

The polka dot 19c shirt is regular fit, dayton shirt in lawn is slim fit while chambray work shirt is relax fit. Hope that helps.

I have the same print on a scarf / bandana as the blazer, a few posts up. Pretty surprised.

Has anyone here tried/owned both the SS12 Bedford and the SS12 Porter in French Terry?

The Bedford in a S was slightly too narrow for me in the shoulders/chest, and I needed a M.

I've seen the Porter in the Sales in a S and the measurements look to be slightly more generous than the Bedford. Also, i imagine the French Terry fabric would have a bit more stretch/give in it.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

I confirm.

The Porter seems like the most generous out of all the jackets i've come across from EG .. The arm opening is wider than any of his other jackets .. and the patch pockets intentionally billow out, the slouchy drape is almost magical .. lol

The bedford is a much more structured and close-to-the-body fit than the Porter.

Got the Miner Shirt from Gary over the weekend and I have to say that the pockets are very conveniently designed. A pocket notebook fits perfectly in the left chest pocket and the pen is segregated. The right pocket is also well suited for a phone.

I love my miner shirt (FW11), doesn't get the same love as the workshirt but I think it's a cool design. Right chest pocket is also great for holding sunglasses in the summer time.
